My name is Adam Rietveld, and I have been facilitating Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainings since 2015. In 2016, I was honored to join the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT). I have experience training counselors, social workers, professors, students, nurses, doctors, and probation officers in MI.
I am trained in the use of the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) 4.2.1 coding tool to analyze audio recordings of MI conversations and provide practitioners with detailed feedback.
With over 15 years of experience as a professional counselor in various settings, I currently work in my own outpatient counseling private practice.
I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and am currently pursuing a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at National Louis University.
