Workshop Objectives:

1. Describe the core elements of the Spirit of Motivational Interviewing (Partnership, Acceptance, Compassion, and Empowerment) and explain their role in fostering client engagement.

2. Identify the Four Tasks of MI (Engaging, Focusing, Evoking, and Planning) and summarize their importance in supporting clients’ movement toward change.

3. Apply foundational MI skills (OARS: Open-ended questions, Affirmations, Reflective listening, and Summarizing) through interactive exercises.
